Sina Matin, MD, FACS Named Chief of Surgery at Baylor Regional Medical Center at Grapevine


Grapevine, TX – Dr. Matin is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is in private practice with Surgical Group on North Texas and works within the Baylor Health Care System. Dr. Matin is a General Surgeon with additional training in advanced laparoscopic surgery, robotic surgery, and bariatrics.  He follows a consultative approach with his patients and is known for his outgoing personality and caring bedside manner.

Dr. Matin received his undergraduate and master’s degrees from Old Dominion University in Virginia. After receiving his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia, Dr. Matin completed his surgical residency and research fellowship at the University of Texas in Galveston. He then completed his Advanced Laparoscopic Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

Dr. Matin is active in and recognized by the following organizations: the Texas Medical Association, American College of Surgeons, Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons and American Obesity Association.
